At Lincoln School, we believe that learning doesn’t stop with our students. As a community of educators committed to growth and innovation, we see ourselves as a learning organization—one where curiosity, collaboration, and continuous improvement are woven into our daily practices.
Our commitment to life-long learning begins with deep subject expertise. Every Lincoln School teacher is trained in their subject areas through the International Baccalaureate (IB) framework—whether it’s the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), or the Diploma Programme (DP). This training ensures that our educators are equipped with the pedagogical tools and global perspectives necessary to meet the high standards of the IB and to challenge students meaningfully across all grade levels.
To foster a shared vision of entrepreneurial education, all faculty members also complete EPIC training through our partnership with Babson College, a world leader in entrepreneurship education. This training helps us build a unified language and mindset around innovation, creativity, and student agency—essential components of Lincoln’s approach to teaching and learning.
Our focus on professional growth extends to schoolwide initiatives that build strong, inclusive communities. We regularly engage with thought leaders such as Dr. Derrick Gay, whose work on belonging and identity helps our staff create classrooms where every student feels seen, valued, and empowered to thrive.
We also invest in sending teachers and administrators to leading international conferences such as the Tri-Association Conferences and AMISA. These experiences provide exposure to new research, tools, and best practices from around the world. Upon returning, participants are expected to share their learning with colleagues—spreading fresh ideas and strengthening our collective knowledge base.
Finally, many Lincoln educators are actively pursuing advanced degrees—earning Master’s and Doctoral degrees in education and related fields. This dedication to personal academic growth reflects our belief that when educators model life-long learning, they inspire students to do the same.
At Lincoln School, professional learning isn’t an event—it’s a culture. It’s how we stay sharp, stay relevant, and stay true to our mission: preparing students to navigate and shape a rapidly changing world with confidence and purpose.
